Bulletin Dec 22, 2024

Welcome to Ridge Pointe!

It is our hope today that you will sense our love and devotion for God, our love of great worship music to God, and our love of the timeless and powerful Word of God. Have a blessed day as you worship with us!

Memory Verse

The angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people (Luke 2:10).
Commentary
God cares about everyone, despite his or her occupation or standing in society. By Jewish tradition, shepherds were known to be spiritually unclean. Yet the Lord chose these men to proclaim the birth announcement of His son—the Savior of the world. The angel told them not to fear, but to open their eyes and watch for the wonderfully good thing that the Lord was doing for them and for the whole world—something that would bring great joy to everyone.

Happy Birthday

Annual Christmas Offering

Throughout the month of December, we are asking all of you to give a special offering (above your regular giving) to help us end the year in good shape financially. This is very important to the continuation of God’s work. And as we give, we will remember the words of Scripture: “God loves a cheerful giver.” When we all take part joyfully, God will use us to share the Word faithfully both here and around the world.

Surgery Update

Pastor continues to improve daily and is getting ready to begin rehab. If you want to send a note or card their address is 4701 Breckinridge Ct. Richardson, TX 75082-3869.

Important Note

We will not have any Wednesday services this week due to the Christmas holiday. Nor will we have any the following Wednesday due to the New Year holiday. Meetings will resume on January 8, 2025.

Welcome to Ridge Pointe!

Memory Verse

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:28

Commentary
With the culmination of Paul’s point that the law’s purpose as tutor has been completed and the believer is not under its instruction. The logical conclusion is that as believers in Christ our only identity is only and exclusively found in Christ Jesus. A powerful call not only to avoid legalism but to cling to Church
unity.
